Incredible gilt silver alloy chalice, continental europe, c. late 17th century. Depicting cherubs and scrolling hand chased motifs. The base of the chalice is made of a silver alloy and has traces of the gilding remaining. The cherub faces are worn from over 350 years of handling. Cup and bowl and baroque motif seem to be a liver and gold plated brass.
Original unpolished condition as we will leave that to the buyers decision.
